The Arizona Disc Golf Club is proud to present the Eighth Annual Southwest Cactus Series! Please familiarize yourself with the following basic rules if you plan to compete for series standings:

  • All dates are subject to change without notice. Please call the AZDGC two weeks prior to an event to confirm the dates- club info line: 480-946-9509. Of course, you can also stop back here for the most current information on all the series tourneys.
  • You must compete in at least six of the qualifying events listed above. Once qualified, you get series points based on your finish at each of the qualifying events.
  • If you compete in more than six events, your top six finishes are used, so increase your chances and play in them all!
  • Final Cactus Series payout is top one-third of qualifying competitors in the professional divisions and top half of qualifying competitors in the amateur divisions.
  • In the event of a tie for final series payout, the top two finishes of the two day tournaments for each tying competitor will be compared to determine the winner.
  • If you have won a division title in any previous year's Cactus Series, you must play in at least the next higher division this year.
  • If your final standings have placed you in any of the top three spots in a division in the past two years' Cactus Series, you must play in at least the next higher division this year.
  • Any tournament in which there are less than three competitors in a division will not count toward series standings for that division.
  • If you post scores that would cash in a division above yours more than once, you may be bumped up to that division at the discretion of the AZDGC.

The AZDGC is trying something new this year for picking the Arizona Disc Golf Team to compete in the yearly San Diego team competition. The OPEN division team members will be picked from the top OPEN division Cactus Series final scores. Unless any of the other team golf divisions can fill a field of nine players consistantly throughout the Cactus Series events, alternate methods of selection for those divisions will be used at the discretion of the AZDGC.
